Marketing Axioms

1. In order for marketing to work, all of its separate elements must work as well. This requires constant observation, evaluation and modification.

2. Marketing is, in effect, salesmanship. Its only long-term purpose is making a sale. In order to achieve this it uses various vehicles, such as branding, relationship management, lead generation, etc. However, marketing does not work if it does not generate sales.
